Active agents

The major active agents used in professional dermal cosmetics of the DERMACUR brand include:

Hyaluronic acid:
Hyaluronic acid, also called the “elixir of youth”, is a natural constituent of all living organisms and is one of the most effective substances used to combat wrinkles. Due to its water bonding properties, it continuously keeps the skin elastic, hydrated and fresh. Long-term application of hyaluronic acid concentrate smoothes out small and deeper wrinkles, it tightens the skin and reduces the risk of the dermis cells being reached by viruses and bacteria.

Collagen is one of the basic skin constituents providing regeneration, nutrition and elasticity to the skin.  Skin collagen levels decrease with age. Regular application of collagen eliminates its natural loss and maintains flexible, hydrated, fresh and wrinkle-free skin.

Mineral salt:
Mineral salt from the Karlovy Vary springs encourages the metabolism and calms the skin.

Akosky Apium
Akosky Apium is a patented ingredient acquired through a complex process from the stem cells of the leaves of celery, which is valued for its high content of vitamins (A, B1, B2, B3, B5, B6, C, and K), minerals (calcium, iron, magnesium, manganese, boron, phosphorus, potassium, selenium, and zinc), and essential amino acids. Akosky Apium stimulates the production of procollagen, along with the formation of extracellular matter (extracellular matrix), which improves the structure and elasticity of the skin. The beneficial effects of this unique ingredient have been proven by clinical studies.

Ectoin is a product of bacteria, the natural habitat of which is extremely hot desert conditions. It creates a protective cover around the skin cell, preventing the penetration of UV rays and thus directly protecting the skin cell against damage and ageing.

Macadamia Ternifolia Seed Oil
Macadamia oil is a natural oil rich in vitamins A, B and E, with a high content of unsaturated fatty acids (namely palmitic acid), which enhance the suppleness and elasticity of the skin. The active substances present in macadamia oil have an intense antioxidising effect on the skin. Antioxidants prevent cellular membrane damage and skin ageing. The main effect of macadamia oil is its ability to provide instantaneous and long-lasting hydration, as well as to heal and regenerate. It leaves the skin smooth and soft.
